Our first motor bike

πŸ›΅ Our first motor bike πŸ›΅

Today we are going to talk about a topic, I think, very important to know for your own safety here in Bali.

Fisrt of all, you should know that everyone in Bali travel with a motor bike (a scooter). It's useful and fast for any short trip.

You can enjoy riding a motor bike at an affordable price, from 700 000 or 800 000 idr per month. It depends on the power and on the number of scooters available, for example the prices may be higher in July and August, tourist period.

It will also depend on your ability to negotiate, show your best smile!😁
Despite the many tourists, you will have no trouble finding a rental store, there are many on the island.

Now let's move on to more serious things, driving in Bali.

First of all, here we drive on the left, it is a habit to take but it is rather fast.

The most important thing here is to be careful and anticipate the dangers. Indeed, the locals do not really respect the rules of the road; red lights, stop signs, or priorities...

To tell you quickly:
A truck almost backed over us if we didn't avoid it, people overtake without even looking if there are people in front, and watch out for stray dogs! They are sometimes in the middle of the road or can even run after you. We experienced it, from an outside eye it must have been funny to see πŸ˜„

But don't worry, if you are careful and take into account what I say, you won't have any problems! Getting around on a scooter in Bali is so much fun and pleasant!😍

Our day in Uluwatu Temple

πŸ›• Visit of the Uluwatu Temple πŸ›•

For our first day in Bali we decided to visit the Uluwatu Temple.

To get into the temple, you will have to pay the entrance (20 000 idr) and the parking (1000idr), which is a reasonable price.

To enter the temple area, you will also have to wear a sarong or a sash that they will lend you. However, girls, if you are menstruating, you cannot enter the temple because it is a sacred area.

Pura Luhur is one of the six main temples in Bali. It is one of the most popular place to visit if you embark on a cultural trip to the area.

It is famous for its beautiful scenery overlooking Uluwatu Bay. Perched on top of a cliff, about 70 meters above the ocean, it is also known for offering one of the most beautiful views at sunset.

You can enjoy a beautiful walk on the edge of the cliff with a breathtaking view of the waves hitting the rocks.

The temple is located at the top of a cliff with a typical architecture and a special atmosphere, typical of the Balinese culture.

A path is laid out all along the cliff to allow you to admire the landscape from all possible sides. Viewpoints are arranged to allow you to take your best pictures!πŸ“Έ

Ideal to make friends and family jealous... 😎

During your visit you can also change the environment by walking away from the cliffs, in the forest, and discover the beautiful vegetation and the many monkeys that live there.

However, be careful with your things, the monkeys are not shy and do not hesitate to snatch your glasses, your phone or even your flip-flops! So hold on tight to your things or put them away, good to know πŸ˜‰

Finally, you can attend a Kecak fire dance performance! This is a traditional dance that tells the story of the Hindu hero Ramayana who goes to rescue his wife who was kidnapped by a demon.

Do not hesitate to visit this beautiful place full of culture and Balinese magic 🌟
